![]() ![]() He traveled to various cities in the United States, including California, in October of that year, speaking to individuals and small and large groups. In the year 1912, Abdu’l-Bahá visited America and was present at the laying of the cornerstone for the construction of the Bahá’í House of Worship in Wilmette, Illinois. He spoke of race unity and about the elimination of all forms of prejudice which is necessary to hasten the advancement of world peace. He elevated service to mankind to the highest station of spirituality and spent the remainder of his life spreading the message of Bahá'u'lláh. He continued to guide the followers by the way he lived his life, an example for all. ![]() He shows us the path to follow to enable our spirituality to grow and fulfill our God-given destiny.Īfter the passing of Bahá'u'lláh on May 29, 1892, Abdu’l-Bahá, his eldest son, born May 23, 1844, in Persia, was designated by Bahá'u'lláh as the one to carry forward the teachings of the faith.
